Community Involvement

To grow and prosper, communities require care. It is the work of many hands—sharing many talents, many hours, and many gifts. We enrich the entire community by enriching its members. Craig Fiedler and the members of Northwestern Mutual Financial Network—Murrysville share this commitment to the community in which they live and work, to make it a better place, to make a difference.

Hillman Cancer Center
After the passing of his father-in-law, Craig Fiedler has been active raising money for a room in the Hillman Cancer Center named after his late father-in-law. We would like to extend a “thank you” to all who contributed.

Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh
Many representatives at the Murrysville District Network Office are also involved with the Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh. In the fall of every year, the representatives attend the Children’s Hospital's Annual Gala. Each year, the hospital's goal is to raise over 7 million dollars.

USMC Families
Last year, during the Christmas Season, the Murrysville District Network Office raised money to donate over 50 gifts for the children of deployed Marines of Camp Lejeune, N.C. Their parents were deployed in Iraq and Afghanistan. The office worked with USMC Families to achieve these goals.

United Way
Many representatives at the Murrysville District Network Office donate their time and money to the United Way. Through the downtown Pittsburgh Office, the Northwestern Mutual Financial Network raised $52,466 in 2005.

Crohn's & Colitis Foundation
The Murrysville District Network Office is actively involved in the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation, specifically, through fundraising. We are proud to have participated in the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation's 12th Annual Guts & Glory Walk/Run on September 10, 2006 at Schenley Park.
